Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Halfway Latte. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Halfway Latte lets you create a group, invite friends, share each member's approximate location while a meetup is active, compute a midpoint, and surface nearby coffee shops you can vote on. Map tiles and place data are provided by third-party map providers; we do not guarantee the accuracy of any business listing, opening hours, or route.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at hello@halfwaylatte.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, stalk, impersonate, or harm any person.
• Scrape, crawl, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or extract data in bulk.
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, attempt to bypass rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities outside a responsible disclosure to us.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Submit false location data with the intent to mislead other group members.

Group names, votes, friend lists, and other content you submit are shared with the people you invite. You retain ownership of your content; you grant us a limited license to host, display, and process it solely to operate the Service.

Halfway Latte relies on your browser's geolocation to compute a midpoint and show your position to other members of an active group. You can revoke this permission at any time in your browser settings. See our Privacy Policy for how location data is handled.

The Service integrates with third-party providers (including mapping, hosting, database, and email delivery providers). Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Halfway Latte is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we will give you notice before any charge applies to your account.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting hello@halfwaylatte.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a risk to other users or to the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any coffee shop result will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halfway Latte and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
